PROGRAM DESCRIPTION This program will review the current state of the art in breast cancer management, highlighting the key components of multidisciplinary treatment to include surgery, medical oncology, radiation, radiology, pathology, plastics, genetics and psychosocial issues. Emphasis will be given to emerging technologies which improve our ability to provide highly personalized breast cancer management through improved understanding of tumor biology and genetics. Active areas of most promising research will be discussed. The format of this program will consist of lectures and case studies. Expert faculty will serve on a breast cancer tumor board at the end of each session to interactively discuss the multidisciplinary perspective on the evaluation and treatment of patients at increased risk for developing breast cancer and those who are diagnosed with early and advanced stage breast cancer. Therapeutic interventions with areas of current clinical controversy will be highlighted.
