Elizabeth Harre, M.D. is a graduate of Yale University where she received a BA with Distinction in double majors of History and Theater Studies. She attended Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was elected to the Arnold Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Harre is currently a chief resident in Psychiatry at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. She is one of the founding members of the NYSPI Morbidity and Mortality Committee and Crisis Response Team, developed to foster discussion of outcomes in psychiatry and their impact on psychiatric residents. She aided in the development of a crisis response protocol for implementation in the event of a suicide attempt or completion by a residentís patient. Dr. Harre is a co-author of a paper in the journal Academic Psychiatry, "Improving Support of Residents after a Patient Suicide: A Residency Case Study" (in press).
