Mary Jeanne Kreek, M.D. is the Patrick E. and Beatrice M. Haggerty Professor and Head of the Laboratory of the Biology of Addictive Diseases at the Rockefeller University. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Kreek completed her residency in Internal Medicine, and was a USPHS Postdoctoral Fellow in Gastroenterology and Endocrinology, at Cornell University Medical College.

Dr. Kreek has held a Research Scientist Award since 1978 and has had a Research Center Award since 1987 both from NIH/NIDA. She is Adjunct Professor at Beijing Medical University, Peking University, and the Karolinska Institute.

She sits on numerous scientific advisory boards and is a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, American College of Neuropsychopharmacology, New York Academy of Sciences, and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Kreek has authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications, special reports, hypothesis papers, chapters, and reviews.
