Would a humidifier improve the effects of a negative air ionizer for the treatment of depression? If so, how? Answered by: Michael Terman

The charged oxygen persists longer in the air circulation when surrounded by microdroplets of moisture. This is called superoxide. If ambient room relative humidity is low -- as is usually true in winter in heated rooms -- a humidifer will potentiate air ion availablity, and thus dose.
