What is the best way to detox from THC?

If one wants to detox on one's own, it is good to go into it prepared to experience withdrawal symptoms, such as disrupted sleep, decreased food intake, irritable mood, decreased sociability, and marijuana craving. Most symptoms peak around 3-4 days without smoking, but symptoms can last for over a week. I would recommend considering a treatment program specific for marijuana (there are several in NYC) or consider talking to an addiction therapist, as psychosocial therapy specific for marijuana dependence produces better outcome than none at all in terms of remaining abstinent.
