Every Sunday at 1:00 p.m., a member of Fort Tryon Park''s expert horticultural staff will guide visitors through the landmarked, three-acre Heather Garden, home to one of the finest heath and heather collections on the east coast. Because the garden is situated high above the Hudson River, visitors will enjoy panoramic views of the river and New Jersey Palisades. Tour topics will include the history and horticulture of the garden.
On the first Sunday of each month, the tour will include a visit to the Alpine Garden which is undergoing an extensive restoration.
