Kareem Ghalib, MD is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Columbia University. Born in Pennsylvania and raised in Maryland, Dr. Ghalib received an undergraduate degree in English Literature from Harvard University, then returned to Maryland for medical school. He completed his adult psychiatry training at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI), where he served as a chief resident. He completed his child and adolescent psychiatry training at the Columbia and Cornell campuses of New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he again served as a chief resident. In addition to his work at NYSPI's Children's Day Unit and Child and Adolescent Evaluation Service, he has a private practice where he sees children, adolescents and adults.
