Jeffrey Borenstein, M.D.
Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry
Jeffrey Borenstein, M.D., is the host of the public television series, Healthy Minds, which is broadcast on public television stations across the country. He serves as the chief medical officer of the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, formerly known as NARSAD. He also serves as the editor-in-chief of Psychiatric News, the newspaper of the American Psychiatric Association. He also serves as the chair of the Council on Communications of the American Psychiatric Association and as the chair of the Mental Health Services Council of NYS. He is a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and chair of the Section on Psychiatry. He has received the National Alliance on Mental Illness of NYS Connie Lieber Award, the American Psychiatric Association Special Presidential Commendation, and the Federation of Organizations Community Mental Health Man of the Year Award.
