Holly Schneier, M.D.

I have been integrally involved with clinical work, education and adminiatration at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center since I graduated from the Columbia Residency program in 1989. For five years, I served as director of the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program. During this time, I was awarded Teacher of the Year by the Graduating Resident Class. Currently in my position as Assistant Director of the New York Presbyterian Dept. of Psychiatry, Columbia Campus, I am involved with all of the Presbyterian Hospital Services. I continue to teach extensively in teh Emergency Services. I also function as Medical Director of Quality Assurance for Presbyterian Medical Center Dept of Psychiatry.
In addition, I graduated from the Columbia Center for Psychoanalytic Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. I continue to teach at the Center. I run the Course on Assessment for psychoanalysis. I teach in the Psychopathology section. Further, I am a co-chair of the Center's Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program, and teach extensively in this program. I also serve on the Selection Committee.
