Edward Nunes, M.D.
Professor of Clinical Psychiatry
Dr. Nunes, who received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and his M.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, has worked at the DES since 1985.
Often collaborating with research scientists at the Substance Abuse Research Clinic (SURC) at the New York State Psychiatrist Institute, Dr. Nunes is interested in dual diagnosis (i.e., patients with a substance abuse disorder and a non-substance abuse disorder, particularly a depressive disorder) and the treatment of cocaine abuse.
