Description: This talk will focus on the purpose of mitigation, how it is used in a forensic consultation process, and clients who most benefit from mitigation. It will also examine related topics, including live versus telephonic testimony, countertransference by attorneys, and cognitive processes of professionals that tend to contribute to errors. Case examples will illustrate the issues.
