| Description: “The Importance of One.” Co-Hosted by the Columbia Comprehensive Epilepsy Center and the Epilepsy Coalition of New York State, Inc. The purpose of the gala is to raise awareness, acceptance, and tolerance for epilepsy, and to raise funds to support centers pursuing a cure for this disorder. The Gala will feature performances by: Fantasia Barrino, American Idol Winner and Grammy Award Nominee; the Young Peoples Chorus of New York City; as well as the winner of a day-long Epilepsy Idol Competition for epilepsy patients.
